250TH LIFE OF 2017 SAVED
Did you know this week marks 15 years since Rain Rescue began. Originally formed as a small volunteer group by our founder Jacquie to to try and raise awareness of the plight of stray dogs in local authority pounds and the conditions they were kept in. Since it began Rain Rescue has saved the lives of thousands of dogs from being unnecessarily put to sleep through no fault of their own, as well as hundreds of cats. It has been there for pet owners in times of crisis and despair.
Today Rain Rescue continues to raise awareness of animal welfare issues, continues to save lives and strives be here for the unwanted, abandoned and neglected dogs and cats of tomorrow. Yesterday saw our 250th arrival of 2017.
A sweet Mastiff girl named Avah, she was in the pound underweight and with a horrid case of cherry eye. Another not given the veterinary attention she desperately needs so here we are picking up the pieces once again.
