RAIN RESCUE : SHEFFIELD PHOTOGRAPHER HELPS FIND RESCUE DOGS A NEW HOME

0056

Sheffield based wedding photographer Shelley Richmond volunteers her time and talent towards getting rescue dogs at local animal charity Rain Rescue adopted.

Shelley has been visiting the centre based in South Yorkshire for over 3 years snapping homeless pooches in the hopes of showing off their wonderful looks and personality and ultimately finding them new homes.

‘I started volunteering for Rain Rescue because I wanted to help in any way I could. I have a huge affinity for animals, dogs in particular and have 2 rescue dogs of my own. The main reason I started photographing the dogs at Rain was to try and help show people their personality, that they are just lovely loving animals that would make wonderful additions to people’s lives. If I can help by showing this side of the dogs character and it helps them to find forever homes then I’m a very happy girl. Plus I get to regularly hang out with some awesome fur faces.’

Lauren Sanderson, Deputy Charity Manager at Rain Rescue says ‘Often dogs who have been with us a while can have their photo taken by Shelley and then suddenly we are inundated with applications to adopt! Having a volunteer like Shelley is invaluable – her photos help our dogs stand out from the crowd.’’
