Bess – a life of abuse and neglect

When we went into the dog pound last week, we saw a little chocolate coloured dog cowering in her basket.  Wide eyed with fear – huddled under the edge of her bed lay a little stafford.  We love staffords, and hate to see them so abused.  She wasn’t out of time, and so we couldn’t help her but told the pound to hold her – we would be back when she had done her 7 day stay.

Poor Dotty – didn’t know what had happened to her when she ended up in the dog pound.  One minute she was in a home being loved, the next – she had nobody.  It takes some getting used to.

Willow – Petrified wonderful labrador

Willow was in the dog pound and was petrified.  So scared she was cowering behind the divider and took us 15 mins to get her out.  Shes come out of her shell a little bit with her time with us, but this girl is in trauma. Continue reading

Flynn – Collie x lurcher

Meet Flynn, who is still looking for his new home.  He’s a wonderful collie x greyhound and has come on a treat whilst being in Rain Rescue care.

Here he is sharing his bed with young Junie – and Jenson too.  Typical of the lurchers, hes a lively boy – loves his walks but is a great character too.   Here he went home for the weekend and was a really good boy.
