RAIN RESCUE : CHARITY DOG SHOW SUCCESS
The sun shone brightly for Rain Rescue’s 3rd annual Dog Show and Fayre this sunday at Sheffield Manor Lodge. The glorious weather attracted over 500 visitors and their pooches to enjoy the day’s activities. Alongside the main dog show the charity hosted mini agility for wannabe dog trainers as well as a range of stall holders selling anything from dog treats to fantastic artwork. Sheffield photographer Ellie Grace was also on hand running a doggy Photo Booth where dogs could get dressed up and have their very own professional portrait taken, all raising funds for the rescue dogs in the charities care.
Lauren Sanderson, Deputy Charity Manager says ‘Every year the event just gets bigger and better. It’s a fantastic day out for all the family. We work closely with our venue Sheffield Manor Lodge to cater for all ages. It’s hard work but the day was brilliant all thanks to our fantastic team of staff, volunteers and supporters.’
The show was judged by local vets Ciara O’Neill and Molly Graham from Highfield Vets. The event was sponsored by Dogmatic UK, The Old Horns Inn and R Graham & Family Home Improvements. The much desire Best in Show rosette went to Jack Russell ‘Molly’ with Reserve Best In Show being handed to ‘Austin’ the Malamute.
The show raised over £2000 for the charity and they are already planning next years event set to be held on 10th September 2017.
