ROUTINE DOG CARE
* Spaying and Neutering - Be a responsible pet owner and have your dog spayed or neutered.There are already too many unwanted homeless animals without adding to the population. The risk of pyometra and testiclar cancer are completely removed, and it reduces the risk of mammary cancer, anal adenomas and prostrate problems.
* Worming - Routine worming should be done on a regular basis, to keep your dog healthy.
* Flea control - Good flea prevention products can be obtained from your vet, or bought over the counter, and should be carried out on a regular basis.
* Diet - In order for a dog to remain healthy a dog must eat a balanced diet of protein, fat, carbohydrates and minerals.
* Exercise & Play - A dog requires regular exercIse to remain fit and prevent it from becoming overweight which may lead to health problems. Dogs also enjoy playing and this should be included as part of their daily routine.
* Dental Care - Dental care should be under taken at an early age, to get your puppy or young dog used to the feel of a toothbrush,daily brushing is advisable, there are a good selection of toothbrushes, toothpastes and gels on the market designed for dogs and cats.
* Grooming - Most dogs enjoy being groomed, the amount required is dependant on the type of coat, with long haired varieties needing more.
* Training - Although all owners will not wish to train their dog to a high level of obedience, some form of basic training is is beneficial in order to raise a sociable and well behaved dog. At the very least most owners want their dogs to learn to Sit, Stay, Come and walk nicely on the lead without pulling.
