Found homes for some lovely dogs this week
Our wonderful Shelby – who has been with us for some time, has found a great home where they love her SO much. Shelby loves the cuddles and the armchairs and is great when out walking – you just have to give them time and a few rules.
Lots of love Shelby – Rain Rescue volunteers are glad to have helped you.
Today – we waved bye to Harvey – the little dog that came to us as a crisis case being in a home with a vulnerable adult who wasn’t able to take good care of him. He’s been fostered in the loving care of the Nix family – and has learnt to love all his new friends. We were pleased to have helped him to find his new home where he has found a new lovely big brother.
We also found a new home for the fabulous Cilla and she goes to that home on Thursday – no doubt foster mum will be gutted to loose this lovely loveable girl who has been a pleasure to help come round, and trust people again after her frightening ordeal.
We took 5 dogs down to Wood Green just over a week ago, and have had great news that 3 of them have found new homes – all of them were saved out of a dog pound and at the threat of being put to sleep – just because they were too many dogs.
Today – thank you to all who Sue, Claire and Sarah along with Buster who were stood at Clifton Park spreading the word about dumped pets – and asking for donations. We raised £104 – which is fabulous.
Thank you to the people who have donated to us over this last week – we have had £65 in in donations – which is wonderful – but no way goes towards us surviving to keep going and paying the bills.
All the time we look for ways to make more money – and each time – we know we will struggle. We just hope we can carry on for a little while longer – to do what we do. If anyone has ideas how we can raise some more money – bearing in mind there are only a few of us doing what we do – and so haven’t much time spare for more tin shaking or events – please let us know. There must be kind people out there who want us to survive – knowing how many lives we save – surely – its worth us carrying on?
Huge thanks to Vickie today for yet again going into another dog pound and seeing all the dogs in there all needing homes – seeing their eyes as they beg you to take them home. If only people saw them, maybe then they would help? I hope so.
