Louis, Amber, Angel, Ricky, Kym and Pippa all find fab new homes
What can we say apart from this week 3 fabulous new homes have been found for our special ladies.
Its really hard going- but its all worth it when this happens. All these 3 girls were potentially going to be put to sleep in stray dog kennels – all lovely dogs – having to be put to sleep because there are TOO MANY DOGS – especially TOO MANY BULL BREEDS.
We absolutely love these guys, but sadly – too many for the number of homes available.
Little Pippa had her operation at the vets where nearly all her teeth were removed and this will eventually settle down so that she’s in pain no more. A good bath, her nails clipped and her ears cleaned – wormed, fled, vaccinated and microchipped this little girl is like a new pin. The home we found was perfect – and her foster mum Mrs Nix absolutely devastated to loose her but she knows – her space will be filled again soon with another dog desperate for some tlc.
AMBER, who we all adored and who just loved to be on the settee went to a fabulous staffy loving home who had a big gap missing on their settee – Amber is now in residence and absorbing lots of cuddles.
KYM – after having a wonderful time recovering with Auntie Pauline and playing with Jason – spent the day fundraising at Rotherham Show – then found her new fabulous family who have kept in touch and said how wonderful she is. What a super girl.
LOUIS – a very sad boy – crawling and walking in fleas to such a state his whole body was being eaten alive when we got him out of the pound – driving him mental – having been put in there because his elderly owner could no longer care for him. We took him home and bathed him but when his new mum and dad saw him, we just knew – this was a match made for each other – LOUIS will never ever be homeless again.
RICKY – a little sweet boy – who came to us in a disgustingly filthy state – full of lugs and tugs and petrified. He hated it in kennels and boy did he tell us so – but he never ever put a food wrong with us. We had a family we knew who were waiting for a little yorky and thankfully they managed to shuffle round plans and get him in to their love and their home. This boy is home to stay.
ANGEL having quietly and peacefully spent her time in kennels and then with BUSTER being rehomed, managed to move into the fabulous staffy foster home with Auntie Claire and her big family – Angel snuggled up on the settee ready to wait it out. A lovely new mum and dad saw her pictures and read her story and felt that they could give this girl a loving home for the rest of her days. Angel’s tail never stopped wagging when she saw them – she knew this was the time to go home.
THANK YOU TO OUR LOVELY FOSTER MUMS WHO HAVE HELPED THESE DOGS THROUGHOUT THEIR TIME WITH RAIN RESCUE.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS EVER DONATED AND WHO CURRENTLY DONATES TO RAIN RESCUE – YOU AND WE HELP SAVE THESE LIVES – WITHOUT YOU – WE COULDN’T DO IT.
THEY ALL SAY THANK YOU TOO xxx
