Martha goes into a lovely foster home
Its lovely tonight to think that our lovely Martha is once again in a foster home. She’s come so far after the fear of traffic, then going into a home and it not working out for her, and back into kennels.
She’s been brilliant at kennels, walking out and playing with the other dogs – and going out for walks past lots of really scary traffic and those horrible noisy motor bikes.
HUGE thank you to Sarah from Iron Mountain and her partner Terry for offering to give this big girl a chance in a home. They won’t give up on her and will use her headcollar so that she’s manageable when she’s walked.
Martha was great going over to Manchester in the van, and if she didn’t have her head on my knee - was looking out of the window at all the sheep – then eventually bored with it all – just curled up and fell asleep.
A huge step forward for a dog that has gone through so much. Martha has never shown any aggression and all she asked for was for someone to give her a chance, Whatever trainer said she couldn’t be worked with I would suggest they find a different career because they don’t understand the mind of the fearful dog.
Tonight Martha is spending the night in her new foster home, after going out for a great long walk with her new step-brothers, who think she’s ‘OK’.
Thanks for everyone who is trying to help Martha have a great life.
