Rain Rescue have saved 13 dogs and 10 cats this Week!!!!

Such a small rescue doing great work.  Nobody knows all that we do behind the scenes – only those whose lives we save.

This week – we took 13 dogs out of YORKSHIRE dog pounds and either have them our selves in kennels or foster homes or have taken them to the 2 rescues who are trying to help them.  Many hundreds more we had to leave behind. Daily we get calls from people trying to rehome their pets – we can help no more. We are stretched to the limit.  We saved 10 cats and drove them hundreds of miles – to get them into a rescue that will find them new homes.  Many hundreds more we can’t help, the problem with over breeding of cats and dumping them on the street – is just too great.

We cannot afford any staff, though we desperately need them – struggle for every penny and constantly worry how much longer we can carry on.  Its magic what we do on such low funds – imagine what we could do if we did have money?

We do what we do  because we see the eyes of those we leave behind – and we try to go back.  If only people could help properly more, publicising the awareness of the problem of this needless destruction on our own pounds.

Its heartbreaking.
