What a difference a week makes
It’s been 2 weeks now since we opened the doors to our new charity shop and what a great 2 weeks it has been.
We have had lots of support from friends and made lots of lovely new friends too.
The donations have been fantastic but We still need donations of anything that’s in
good condition and sell-able, so please raid your cupboards and drawers,
if you have anything you no longer want, need or use then we need it.
Any donations can be brought directly to the shop,

Come say hi and have a cuppa.
It’s all go here at Rain as usual and we have had a busy week with the dogs, we rescued 8 dogs in the space of a couple of days.
Sally- elderly Jack Russel lady,
Such a sweetheart but very upset in kennels.
Toby,
His owner could no longer look after him due to ill health even though they really loved him.
Riley- Lovely lab
This boy had been loved so much, living at home with his big sister and their cat. He could no longer stay home as someone at home has health problems.
They were all devastated.
Rosie and George
These little guys are around 7 years old and were dumped in the pound,
both lovely natured and love to cuddle up together.
Fern
This girl is just a sweetheart, another dog dumped in the pound.
Bailey
At only 14 months old this young boy was being taken to the vets to
be put to sleep as his owner has died.
Sophie
Another young girl dumped in the pound through no fault of her own.
It’s heartbreaking to think where these dogs would be now if we hadn’t saved them.
Our fabulous rescue dog Robbie did a 17 mile sponsored walk with a few of his friends, they all had a great day
and raised a very generous amount of money to help the dogs in need.
After his sponsored walk Robbie went into foster with his Auntie Nicky, Darren and big sister Dexy,
he has settled in lovely and they all adore him.
He took over Flynn’s place on the sofa next to lovely Dexy as our young boy Flynn found a fantastic family of his own.
Our sweet old deaf girl Mabel also found a fantastic loving family of her own.
Her foster mum took her to her new home and Mabel screamed the whole way there, terrified of travelling
very upsetting for her Auntie Claire but her new mum and dad calmed her down with lots of cuddles
and she settled in straight away.
Honey as now taken over Mabel’s place in foster with Claire and family, she was very withdrawn
for the first couple of days and didn’t interact much but this sweet girl was afraid she was going to get hurt again.
With lots of reassurance and love and cuddles from her foster family she is like a different dog.
she loves affection and cuddles, they aren’t sure she’s ever had that before.
None of this would have been possible without support and donations from our friends and followers.
Please continue to donate so we can carry on to help these helpless dogs. We are a handful of volunteers all trying to make a difference but without the funds it just isn’t possible.
I know Christmas is on it’s way and money is tight for a lot but every little bit really does help.
To these dogs there is only one thing they want for Christmas, that’s the gift to live.
