We’ve had a couple of enquiries at Rain Rescue recently regarding where our dogs / cats are rescued from and we think its important that we’re clear about this for all our adopters, supporters and potential adopters out there.

Rain Rescue does not import dogs from overseas – we work very hard in the local area helping pets in crisis situations – primarily saving dogs in the local authority stray kennels, cats and kittens abandoned on the streets as well as helping owners who can no longer care for their pets.

For all you lovely people who have already adopted from us , you will know that the process involves a trip to our site at Wickersley, Rotherham where you will be introduced to your potential new family member by one of the welfare team. Once you have made the decision to adopt, there is paperwork to complete to make it official.

It has been brought to our attention on a number of occasions that members of the public have adopted dogs which they believed to be Rain Rescue dogs but this was not the case. To clarify Rain Rescue does not import dogs from overseas.
