Gemma – lovely lab x terrier

Gemma is now reserved and will hopefully go to her new home later this week.  she will be living with a cat and a fab new family and home.  Fingers crossed all goes well.

Happy to have helped you Gemma.

Gemma has been in foster with us for just over 24 hours but it’s like she’s been here forever. She has taken to all the family and on her first evening when Simon came back from work she greeted him like a long lost and much loved friend even tho she had never met him before.

Just like Jenson (her new best friend) she is jet black and beautifully shiny. She’s got a little teddy bear face with lovely brown eyes that look slightly sad, as if she is not sure that everything is going to be OK now. Jenson has been trying to tell her that from now on she will only meet kind people but I think she may need a bit more convincing.

She has met the regular gang of walkers in Graves Park and seems quite happy to walk along side any dog. She can be a bit giddy in the house but once the lead is on and we head for the park she settles down and walks really nicely.
She has also been to the office and greeted everyone there by doing a sort of half forward roll, landing with a slap onto her back exposing her tummy to the assembled staff members… an open invitation for anyone or everyone to tickle it which of course they all did.
Her first 24 hours with us must have been fairly exhausting as she is currently fast asleep snoring loudly. We’ll have to work on her stamina if she is to keep up with Jenson!
More updates to follow after the weekend when we have got to know her better.
