Nikita – lovely young gsd x husky – Gets a safe place
This lovely young girl – only around 10 months old – had been waiting in the pound for a home. Nobody came.
She waited and waited, the pound knew she was only young – too short a life to have to put to sleep – but often they do – because they have no more kennel space to take in the next dumped dog.
Nikita was a lucky one. When she saw us, she wagged her tail and all her body – and came so close to the fence for us to stroke and cuddle her, and was just desperate for us to love her. We took her home.
After her vet check and first vaccinations this week she had settled in nicely – and thankfully when we took the 4 new dogs down to Wood Green – they also took her in too. Leaving us a free kennel to take in yet another stray as soon as we can.
