Avalon – seeking her retirement home

Avalon is a lovely older cat thats seeking a nice quiet home in a loving and warm environment.

She has been with Rain Rescue previously, and went to live with an elderly lady who absolutely adored her, and where Avalon got lots of love and cuddles and strokes.  Sadly, her carer could no longer look after her and so she is now back with us.  She’s living in a foster home with other cats, dogs and children and has settled in like a dream.

Her foster mum describes her as ‘settled in like she’s always been here’ and she is great to mix in.

Now we are looking for Avalon to find that home where she will receive lots of strokes, and a loving knee to curl up on every now and then.  Shes happy to be an indoor cat, but would probably also wander out on the garden once she’s settled in.  She has had a health check and does have a slight heart murmur for which she doesn’t require any medication – just monitoring periodically by the vet to make sure she’s still fine.  Her eyes can get sore, and we wipe them with a gentle cleanser/antibiotic.  The cyst she has does come back and sometimes the vets suggest draining it but it doesn’t cause her harm or problems.  If neglected it does incur the need of a cream – but its all worth it for sharing the life of such a lovely cat.

Avalon has a special rehoming fee of £50.00 which includes health check, vaccinations, neutering, microchipping, flea and worming treatments as well as 4 week free pet plan insurance.
