Crystal – Scrumptious Huggable Akita Momma

Description

Crystal is one big chunky Momma that has been loved before. She is more than a little shocked to be looking for a new home but still takes everything in her stride.

Crystal is around 7 or 8 years old and loves attention and a good old fuss. She has a beautiful thick coat that will need grooming to keep her looking in perfect condition and the beautiful specimen she is. She is a typical Akita, quite aloof  but a real charcater who loves any affection coming her way.

Due to her size, she would be better with someone who knows big dogs and even the breed but this isn’t essential.   She would be best suited to a home with no small children due to her being such a chunky large lady. She loves to go for a walk and doesn’t pull, so is a dream to walk. On her walks she likes life to be taken at her pace. No rushing Crystal as she has all the time in the world to potter and sniff about even if you don’t. She is so funny and a real character that seems to think life has to be taken at her pace or no pace. Oh yes it’s all about Crystal!. She is one stunning dog who is also fine around other dogs and has quite an aloof nature and prefers to ignore most dogs when out walking. Far too busy to focus on things that are no concern of hers don’t you know.

She’s looking for a steady home that can offer exercise and some moderate walks. She loves to explore outside and have a good nosey and also loves to potter about with her people. Crystal is looking for a home that can live with a large breed. She deserves a brand new start to 2104. Kennel life is not for a middle aged lady like Crystal.

We all love Crystal here at Rain Rescue and we know that you will too – please give her a chance.  The girls at the groomers at Pets at Home GROOM ROOM in Rotherham, said she was an absolute dream.

Crystal cannot live with cats, but would probably live with another nice male dog.   She would be fine to be left during the day as she does like her snoozes.

Dogs rehomed by Rain Rescue usually come from dog pounds. We rarely have any history on them but do work and assess them a lot ourselves.

When dogs come out of dog pounds they may sometimes carry Kennel Cough. Your other pets could be at risk of catching Kennel Cough. Please talk to your vet if you are unsure about if this will be a problem to you.

We do not have many hard and fast rules, taking each on a case by case suitability. Our goal is to get a dog into the right home, where it will be loved and remain for the rest of its days and we spend a lot of time making sure this is right.

All donations and rehoming fees goes towards the total running costs of the charity for it to survive.

Should this dog be unsafe and/or totally unsuitable for your situation, i.e. fights with a resident dog or constantly chasing the cat, showing aggressive tendencies that were not seen or known about at the time of re-homing we will exchange the dog with another suitable dog within the first month. We do not give refunds for dog re homing.

Most dogs cost us much more than we ask for in re-homing fees and the charity has thousands of pounds worth of vet fees every year.
