Freya – collie X?

Freya is a very special lady looking for an understanding new home. Originally brought to us as an unclaimed stray, Freya was terrified at first and it has taken weeks of slowly building trust and gaining confidence to get her to the point where she is now happy to hang out with us, and enjoy a quiet potter up the lane. Freya is a very sensitive soul, still only a baby, she doesn’t seem to have had very much socialisation up until this point, so shies away from new things and finds new people and busy environments quite scary. Once she knows you however, she is super loving and affectionate, and does become somewhat of a shadow!

Freya adores the company of other dogs- and gains much confidence from being around them. She loves to play, but is not over enthusiastic with this, and is happy to settle when the other dog has had enough. Because of this, we would love to find Freya a home with an existing confident, and well rounded canine(s) who can show her the ropes and build up her confidence with the outside world.

Freya will need lots of time and patience to build her confidence, and new owners will need to take her socialisation in baby steps, and be able to visit her a number of times to get to know her before taking her home. Her ideal home will be a quiet and calm environment, with a secure garden that she can enjoy, whilst she is gaining the confidence to go on walks. It would be lovely if she could find a semi-rural/rural home where she will not have to face the hustle and bustle of a busy town too often, or where new owners could drive her to places that were quieter for her to explore. This beautiful lady has clearly had a hard life up until this point, and is now waiting for her luck to change- could you be the person to make that happen?
