Meet Brian. This handsome boy came into our care after he was taken to a vets by a caring member of the public when he was found straying with a nasty tail injury. The wound (probably from a cat bite) has been cleaned up and along with his neuter, has made Brian feel much more comfortable and happy.
He has settled in well here and although can initially be a little shy, he is coming out of his shell and showing himself to be a lovely boy. Brian also has FIV (a condition which affects the immune system of a cat, like HIV in humans) and for this reason, he is looking to live an indoor only lifestyle, where he can be the only cat in the household (however, please get in touch if you have other FIV+ cats in the home). There is no reason why he can`t live just as happy a life as any other normal cat, he will just need to be closely monitored and have regular check ups so he can be kept happy and healthy.
We love Brian here at Rain and we really hope it isn’t long before his forever home comes along.
SUITABLE WITH CATS – Needs to be the only cat in the household (however if you have other FIV+ cats in the home and are interested, please get in touch)
SUITABLE WITH DOGS – Possibly – calm and careful introductions as always will be needed.
SUITABLE WITH CHILDREN – Brian can initially be a little shy, so he is looking for a home with no very young children.
INDOOR LIFETSYLE – Brian is looking for a home where he will be indoor only – although we are sure that he would love a secure and enclosed outdoor cat pen once settled, to get some fresh air. Check out this great link which features secure outdoor cat pens https://protectapet.com
Brian has an adoption fee of £75 which includes, health check, neuter, 1st and 2nd vaccinations, microchip, up to date with flea and worm treatments along with 4 weeks pet insurance with PetPlan.
