Humphrey – The One Eyed Basset Hound – REHOMED

Humphrey was fostered by a staff member as he was so sad in the kennels, and really lonely.   Thankfully, he settled in well.  His foster mum decided that he was the perfect dog to fit into their others and so asked if she could keep him and then go fundraising to help pay for his operation which was thousands of pounds.  Rain Rescue were so happy to stop that horrendous pain and save your life.

Humphrey was dumped in a dog pound in South Yorkshire.  His eye was horrendously painful and once he reached our vets, they had no choice but to remove it.

Humphrey is now free from pain and may be on medication for his other eye to try to keep that one with sight.  He has a wonderful nature but sadly – has been used for stud before – maybe why he got the name of Humphrey.

Humphrey is currently in a foster home in Rotherham with 6 small dogs and 6 cats – he mixes well with all of them and loves to play!!

Humphrey enjoys his home comforts and is often found sprawled on the end of the settee snoring, or laying on the floor wanting a tummy rub!

Humphrey does not like being picked up and he does howl and bark if he is left; we therefore ask that his new owner will not leave him for long periods of time.

Humphrey has now been castrated and is now looking for a new home.

Humphrey is on our  Special Re-homing package and has a rehoming fee of £200.00.
