Lizzie has found a perfect new home today and has gone off to lead a more settled life now with her new mum and dad and big brother. Lots of hugs Lizzie, RAIN were happy to have helped you find home.
Lizzie isn’t ready for adoption just yet. Having had her vet check, she needs a full dental and some teeth removing once recovered she has to go back in for neutering too.
Meet Lizzie a loving little shih-tzu girl. Lizzie is around 9 years old and has lived with her owner who has sadly passed away so she finds herself lost and looking for the right home.
Whilst Lizzie is good with children, dogs and cats, and absolutely everyone and everything really – we feel that she needs a retirement home one where she can be nice and quiet and she won’t need to walk too far. Having had her vet check, she does have bowed front legs which wobble as she walks. We feel she is fine to do a gentle stroll around the garden, a potter up and down the house and short walks out and about, but she really can’t be going for any long walks now. Her nails were badly overgrown and although they have been clipped, this will take a while for her little pads to adjust again to walking but she certainly will feel better over time.
All Lizzie asks for is someone who will love and care for her now for ever. Being a long haired breed, this coat needs regular home grooming and will need to be clipped at least every 6 weeks which can be expensive. Please take this into account if looking to take on a dog with this coat, as they can be expensive to care for – even though she’s adorable.
All I can say is that this adorable girl, snuggled up in my arms whilst we went on our vet trip – and although she was obviously a little lost and confused she was content though trembling. She never snaped nor grumbled, no matter what the vets did to her. She really is a dream of a dog, and now deserves that perfect home for the rest of her days.
Lizzie is on our Premium Re-homing Package and will have a rehoming fee of £200.00.
