Rita – The (Wonderful) Akita

Rita is a comical and full of fun girl who loves her steady strolls and pottering about in the fields. Most of all she loves her company and any fussing or attention you want to give her.  She enjoys a play bounce and fun, but isn’t too mad or crazy – she does enjoy a good snooze in the day.

See Rita’s weekend photos. It was a little warm for Rita in her fur coat, so laying down in the mud is one quick way to cool down!

Rita has a lovely nature, won’t need much exercise but will still like a nice walk. She walks lovely on her lead and loves to take life at her own pace.  She has been fine with other dogs she’s met.  We would only rehome her to someone who knows giant breeds.  She has food issues with other dogs for some strange reason but this should be able to be worked out of her.

Rita is currently living in a foster home in Rotherham with a large male dog and a cat and she’s loved by all.

She could live with a nice friendly male and could live with cats.  We would not rehome 2 female akita’s together.

Rita is a huge cuddle monster! All she asks for is cuddles, more cuddles, kindness and reassurance. she’s a dream to walk on the lead, she loves to play on the garden. She loves the children and is fine with our old cat. She’s fully house trained, very well mannered and loves to give a paw. What more can I say, your foster mummy loves you Rita
