Today we received a heartbreaking call to see if we could help an elderly couple who were struggling to care for their two dogs due to their own ill health. They had contacted their vet to see if they could help them rehome. Another rescue had kennel space but they have come to RAIN as Mrs Nix had a spot (or two) free and it would have been so sad for two oldies to face kennels in such bitter weather.

We would like to introduce you to Sally and Penny. Sally and Penny are 14 years of age and are sisters who have been together their whole lives. They are sweet girls who we are desperate to rehome together as after 14 years parting them would be so sad.

Sally is the larger of the two in the first photo. Penny is the smaller one and as you can see is a little camera shy (we will get some better photos as soon as we can). They have had a vet check this morning and there are no major issues. Penny does have cataracts but this is just due to her age and doesn’t affect her to day to day life. Other than that they are just golden oldies looking for somewhere to spending their retirement in a home with the love and affection they are used to. Please please please share this post far and wide and lets find their new home. If you are interested in adopting please visit www.rainrescue.co.uk and fill in the home finder form.

To help RAIN keep helping dogs like Sally and Penny donate here : www.justgiving.com/rainrescue - Thank you we couldn’t do it without you!
