STORM
Hi there.

My name is Storm. I am a 4 year old Douge de Bordeaux. I was rescued by rain rescue spring 06. I was extremely poorly. Put into doggy prison (wasn't my fault) where I contracted kennel cough.

By the time my 7 days were up I was rescued by some very special people. Rain Rescue. I was very lucky to be chosen that day as I thought my time was up that afternoon. I was placed with a couple called Jacquie & Steve. They had a stable for me to sleep in & loads of running around space. Unfortunately I took a turn for the worse. I got pneumonia, (a complication of kennel cough). This was a very traumatic time for me as I & the vets didn’t think I would pull through. Through the stress I even lost my fur to add insult to injury!!!!. I was given injection after injection to make me better. It took some time but for the second time in my short life I pulled through with the help of dedicated rescue people.

Spring was here & the beginning of my new life was starting. My very dashing picture was placed on rain rescue web site. Boy did I look handsome (still do). My future owners were looking on the web site for an older Douge de Bordeaux, as they had only just lost their DDB a few weeks before very suddenly. Unfortunately the Rain Rescue site went down for rather a long time & the thought that I may never see these people was a worry. I believe it was a worry for them as well as they had set their heart on me. I was every thing they needed in a DDB, being the mature type. The middle of May was a happy & sad time for me. Happy I was going to my new home but sad I was leaving Jacquie & Steve of rain rescue as I have a sneaky suspicion they were rather fond of me. I arrived at my new home & was told that I would be loved & cared for & not to worry about the future as I was healthy & safe now.

I do have a habit of snoring really loud when I go to sleep, I can drool for
England & smash ornaments with my tail but I know this is my home now & I have been given a second chance or is a third chance at life now & I enjoy every single day.

I have seen a local vet & although I say it my self they love me, a super star I am. My personality will win over every time. I now weigh 11 Stone, totally back to 100% health. You will probably see me in the rain rescue leaflets this month (September) I am the good looking Dogue de Bordeaux affectionately known as Stormin' Norman. With out the dedication, love & time given by people at rain rescue I would not be able to give happiness & love to my new owners. I & my owners are eternally grateful.

STORM 1 YEAR LATER

One year since we took on the responsibility of looking after Stormin
Norman.
Here are a few new pictures.
Storm is doing really well, we have had no medical or personality issue's
with him in the year gone by, but we have found longer walks are no longer good for him I think middle age setting in. (Storm not me)
He has made lots of friends around our neighbourhood, and I am sure as you can imagine is quite a character.
