Tenant's dog must go or he faces eviction

A HEARTBROKEN council tenant is being forced to find a new home for his dog after he was threatened with eviction if he didn't get rid of it.
Adrian Smith, aged 32, is seeking a new home for his black collie Bruno because he is no longer allowed to keep the pet.
Adrian, of Busk Meadows, Norwood, has until tomorrow to rehouse his dog because residents living in his block of maisonettes complained to the council about Bruno barking and roaming around.
He said: "I've had him for four years and it's not been a problem but now someone has complained so I've got to get rid of him.
"It's getting me down, he's my companion. I just want him to go to a good home. But I don't want it to be near to me because to see him would break my heart."
A Council spokesman urged Adrian to contact the Dog Warden if he was unable to find Bruno a home.
He said: "We have an excellent record of re-housing dogs rather than putting them down and I know the officers will do everything possible to help Mr Smith."
Anyone who can help can contact Adrian on 07795001247.

ID no = Kennel 18 - ref 2242 Breed = cross breed but some collie Colour = brindle, white Age = 7yr old sex = male This dog is in the pound kennels due to a reluctant parting and was very much loved. He made a wonderful companion and can hopefully be given the chance to do this once again. He is fine with people and has been ok with other dogs whilst in the pound. He is confused at the moment but given time and the right owner he will find his feet again and return to his usual self. |
