Kennel and Cattery Volunteers
Please fill in the application form is you wish to be considered for our next induction event. Volunteer positions are varied ranging from Animal Welfare Assistant cleaning out the kennels, grooming and walking dogs, to cleaning out in the cattery, emptying litter trays, feeding and socialising the cats and kittens. There are physical roles and more gentle roles available. Socialising the cats and kittens being one of the rewards during the working day.
You will need to be able to work in all weather conditions. Over 18′s only please.
Commitment and punctuality essential and able to follow our guidelines.

Charity Shop Volunteers
Rain Rescue relies on donations from members of the public in order to raise funds for our work. If you are looking for experience in a busy retail environment this role could be for you. You would be involved in sorting through donations, preparing stock for sale, tagging and hanging, quality control and identifying selling and recycling opportunities as well as displaying items for sale and providing our customers with outstanding service in a friendly and welcoming environment.
Benefits to you: You will be raising funds to save the lives of unwanted and abandoned pets in South Yorkshire. You will gain valuable experience within the retail sector with full and guided training. Have fun in an enjoyable and interesting role. Develop your skills, enhance your CV and meet new friends.
Time commitment: Hours to suit you but a minimum of 4 hours a week will really help us.
We try to respond to all applications in a timely manner however our teams within both shops are very busy so please be patient. If we feel you are a suitable candidate you will be invited to attend interview with the shop manager. This is so we can get to know more about you and you can get to know exactly what volunteering involves and see if its right for you.

- The referees you supply should NOT be relatives and should be a professional who has known you for at least three years if possible.
