Frequently asked questions?

Can I come and look at your animals?

At Rain Rescue we do all our viewings by appointment and aim to have an idea of which animals may be suitable for you before you arrive at the centre. Our kennels and cattery are not open for general public viewing. If you are interested in adopting a dog please complete our enquiry form and the welfare team will get back to you. For cat enquiries please complete this form.

How much does it cost to adopt?

Our adoption fees vary depending on the individual animal. Generally dogs have an adoption fee of £220 and cats of £85. Kittens have an adoption fee of £110 and sometimes for younger or pedigree dogs we may ask a slightly higher fee, likewise sometimes older dogs or those with additional needs maybe a little less, but rest assured your adoption fee includes everything your dog or cat will need for their new life. Read more about our adoption process and what is included in adoption.

Can I reserve an animal?

You cannot reserve an animal before you have met them. Upon meeting if it is agreed with the welfare team that a second  viewing is advisable we may allow a dog or cat to be reserved until the following Saturday for a non refundable fee of £25. We reserve the right to not place reserve on animals with multiple interests.

How long does the adoption process take?

This is very much dependant on individual circumstances of the adopter and the animal they are interested in, but it can be as quick as a day. We do ask you to be in a position ready to adopt before coming to meet any of our animals.

I don't live near you, can I still adopt from Rain Rescue?

Absolutely, we have adopted dogs and cats all across the UK. As long as you are willing to travel to the centre to meet the animal as many times as the necessary process takes.

I have completed an enquiry form but no one has got back to me?

We aim to respond to all enquiries within 48 hours. If you have not had a response to your enquiry please email to ensure your form has been received.

Rain Rescue exists for the animal who has nobody else.
