BRITAIN ENTERS ANOTHER LOCKDOWN- REHOMING UDPATE

Posted on

As the news hit that England will once more be entering another National lockdown we would like to take the opportunity to provide an update on our rehoming procedures, and to thank you for your patience in these difficult and unprecedented times.

Rehoming

Rehoming will still go ahead in a Covid secure manner. The centre is now closed to all but essential staff and volunteers so please do not visit unless you have a specific, planned appointment. Rehoming and adoptions can still go ahead, but this will be on a “delivery” only basis. Meet and greets will take place virtually by phone or video, and then if all goes well an appointment will be made for a member of the team to bring your animal to you for adoption.

We understand this is not ideal, but it allows us to continue our life saving work and ensure we can be here for the animals that need us in the coming weeks. Please be patient; we are a very small team and rehoming will be slower as we now have to factor travel in and around the area into our days. We are doing our best to help everyone as fast as possible.

Unfortunately, as we are now required to bring animals out for adoption, there will be restrictions on the areas we can rehome to at this current time. This is not our normal policy, but we hope you understand the reason that this is currently in place.

Intakes

We are still doing our absolute best to be there for the cats and dogs that need us the most. If you need to rehome a pet, please do still get in touch with us via the request to rehome form . We are here to help as much as we possibly can, and if we can’t help immediately, we may be able to offer support and advice, or signpost to other organisations that may also be able to assist.

Thank you once again, for your patience, understanding and continued support.
