HOW YOUR DONATIONS HELP

Thanks to you, our rescued animals have somebody.

We receive no government or lottery funding, so the future of every dog and cat we seek to help is secured by the generosity of supporters like you.

It is your kindness that enables us to help save the lives of hundreds of animals every year – dogs and cats who would otherwise have nobody.

''Without the help of Rain Rescue our dog Macie who was rescued and treated by Rain Rescue may never have pulled through.''

- Edward Denston

Support one of our appeals and be an abandoned animal's somebody.

Where the money goes

Our experienced, qualified staff ensure that all the animals who come to us receive the highest standards of care. From the moment of rescue, through rehabilitation at our Rescue Centre, to matching a pet with its forever home – and beyond, with the support we provide, we are only able to offer the the service at the level we do thanks to the amazing contributions of our supporters.

Every donation, however big or small, helps us support more dogs and cats. This is just a taste of some of the benefits:

  • £5.00 will help keep an animal safe and warm.

  • £10.00 will pay for a heat pad and blankets this winter.

  • £50.00 helps towards the cost of neutering a dog, to prevent unwanted puppies.

You don't have to donate to help; why not arrange a fundraising event for Rain Rescue?

See the benefits

Whether you're sponsoring a kennel to give us the financial security to be able to say yes when we are asked to take a dog in, supporting a friend's bake sale or setting up a gift in your will, it is the animals who most need help who will benefit from your kindness.

Your money gives the chance of a new life to cats and dogs such as Pixie (now Bear), a young girl who arrived frightened from the pound, hiding in the back of her kennel. It took Pixie some weeks to get used to the rescue centre routine, but underneath it all was an adorable dog, as explained by her new owner, Paige:

''We are completely and utterly in love with her and she’s really starting to show her playful side. Her personality is growing everyday. She LOVES to kick Matthew out of bed in a morning and cuddle up to me! We couldn’t imagine life without her now. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!''

Benefits to you

Where Gift Aid donations are received from individuals, Rain Rescue can claim a massive 25p per £1 donated from HMRC. In addition, if you are an individual that pays tax at 40% or 45%, you can claim tax relief on donations that you make through the Gift Aid scheme. The relief should be claimed via your self-assessment tax return, or, if you do not complete a return, you can write to HMRC to make the claim. The table below shows what your donation will actually cost you based on the rate of tax that you pay, therefore please ensure that you claim the tax savings and maximise the amount that you give to Rain Rescue.

Supporting the community

Supporting the animals most in need is an important role in our community. By promoting responsible pet ownership in the community and raising awareness of the plight of abandoned animals, we aim to reduce the number of animals suffering because their owners are no longer able to care for them.

Meanwhile, through initiatives such as visiting care homes with some of our amazing rescued animals, we are able to keep the joy of animal companionship in the lives of owners who have had to leave their own homes. By supporting Rain Rescue, you are not only supporting the animals who need our help, but also the community.

Could your organisation support our work in the community through corporate sponsorship?
