Kittens named after NHS workers

Our new cats and kittens named after Captain Tom and NHS Workers who have lost their lives to COVID-19

We asked you earlier to help us name the mum cat and kittens who arrived earlier today as well as the litter due in. You didn’t disappoint and of course we had a very popular choice in Captain Tom, so one of our boy kits is now Captain Tom.

Another suggestion was Atalla in memory of Medhat Atalla, a consultant geriatrician at Doncaster Royal Infirmary who sadly lost his life to COVID-19 on April 22nd. We thought this was a beautiful idea and so our new cats and kittens from today are named … Captain Tom, Atalla and …

Gella in memory of Abdul Gelladin, an ambulance care assistant at Kingston Hospital.

Ade in memory of Ade Dickson from Barnet Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team.

Leilani in memory of Leilani Medel, nurse.

Treble in memory of Andy Treble a theatre assistant at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

and last but absolutely not least Mary in memory of Mary Agyeiwaa, nurse who worked at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital.

A small reminder for us whilst we troop on on the animal welfare front, of the human fight our NHS workers face every day. From us to them, we won’t forget. 🧡Thank you to you all 💙

P.S If you are interested in adopting any of our cats or kittens please apply via our website but please expect a wait as we’re inundated with applications and we can’t rehome to all households at this time due to restrictions of COVID guidelines but someone will be in touch. Thank you.
