Rain Rescue response to COVID-19

Posted on

Following the latest advice from the Government and the World Health Organisation we have taken the difficult decision to postpone any non-urgent visits to the site. It is not practical nor possible for our welfare team to be able to work from home, the cats and dogs in our care really need us to be there for them. Therefore we must do all we can to protect our staff and volunteers and to mitigate risk to site so that we can continue to provide the crucial service to our animals in need.

We will continue to prioritise the needs of all the cats and dogs in our care and will continue to rehome where possible as we never want to add to their stress and time in kennels. All animal viewings and adoptions will be dealt with on a case by case basis, following our usual appointment system, so please do contact us if there is a cat or dog in our care that you would like to welcome into your family. Our fundraising team are on hand to assist with any fundraising queries you may have, however will be restricted on visits and will be postponing our own social and mass participation events, to mitigate risk to our site and to yourselves.

This will of course hit us hard during this time of uncertainty as any loss of donations and funding will have a big impact on us as a small charity. We will never stop needing your help and we ask you to please continue to support us however you can, any amount you can give is always very much appreciated. We thank you for your understanding and support in these uncertain times. Stay safe.
