Rehoming your cat
We understand people’s circumstances change and sometimes it is necessary for people to rehome their beloved pets.
Here at Rain Rescue we are dedicated to helping those who need us most. This means as a charity our priorities are the dogs in local authority stray kennels and cats living on the streets, but, we also offer help to pet owners needing to rehome their cat or dog.
If you need to rehome your pet please get in touch with our welfare team by completing our online form.
We operate a waiting list for both cats and dogs in need of a rescue space and ask that you contact us at the earliest possible opportunity. The time it takes to secure a rescue space is dependant on both urgency of need and space at the centre.
All we request in return for accepting an animal into our care is a donation to contribute to their ongoing care. We request a donation of £100 on bringing the animal in to us however if you are not able to do this please do still get in touch as we are considerate of individual circumstances.
Please don’t abandon your pet, this is extremely dangerous and leaves their fate unknown, it also means they may enter rescue with no information, making it even harder to find them a loving home. NEVER advertise your pet as free to good home.
We also recommend contacting Blue Cross Sheffield on 03007 771591 to discuss other rehoming options.
